User-ID: Extending policy control to non-Windows users

Microsoft Exchange integration is just one of many new features that will allow organizations to extend secure application enablement policies to users outside of their Microsoft Windows domain. Microsoft Exchange integration complements the existing captive portal and XML API as a means of extending user discovery and policy control to Apple Mac OS X, Apple iOS, and Linux client systems that don't directly authenticate to a Microsoft Active Directory Domain.

Additional features that further streamline the deployment of user-based security policies include User-ID agent consolidation, multi-Domain/Forest support, auto Domain Controller discovery and User-ID NTLM redundancy. Learn more

Policy control: URL category match expands policy control options

Policy control: URL category match expands policy control options

URL category has been elevated to the same policy level as applications, complementing the existing web surfing controls within the Security Profile and dramatically expanding the options for URL category based control.

With URL category match, users and groups can be used to allow or deny access to certain URL categories; QoS policies can be created to rate-limit a specific URL category's traffic; captive portal policies can be used to authenticate users when visiting specific URL categories. Learn more
