Satisnet’s Tenable Nessus workshop promotes awareness of the feature set included in the Tenable Nessus vulnerability scanner and provides the foundations for day-to-day use of the tool in your organisation’s IT environment.
The course comprises twelve chapters and provides a “from-the-ground-up” approach, building on the skill-set that is developed throughout the training day. As data is gathered, the types of operation that can be carried out with these data are introduced. In addition troubleshooting tips are issued throughout the progression of the course.
Each trainee is assigned their own scanner in order to audit Satisnet’s training environment which has been specifically designed to provide you with different flavours of OS and deliberately vulnerable hosts.

Having to use Nessus on a fairly regular basis I personally found the tips for effective interpretation of results and how to use Nessus to assess web application security very useful. The structure of the course was more hands-on and well presented.
